Couples Therapy

Receive teletherapy services within the state of California

Couples therapy is an opportunity to enter a new stage in your relationship and move forward in mature love. It is a safe space to deeply connect with your partner, honor your unique identity, and learn new ways to allow passion to move more freely between you.

Sessions are structured to allow you to dialogue about your relationship problems, speak your truths, and take turns deeply seeing one another while experiencing the harmony that comes from understanding and a higher level of listening.

Treatment focuses on healing attachment issues, enriching emotional experiences, and restructuring interactional sequences. The process requires a willingness for self-reflection, personal growth, and the courage to apply communication strategies in the moment.

Throughout the course of treatment, you may also learn effective ways to tolerate personal differences, negotiate, problem solve, or gain simple mindfulness techniques.

I offer a collaborative partnership that focuses on bringing out the best of both of you. I encourage respectful communication, patience, expressions of appreciation and care for one another, shared power and privilege, healthy emotional and intellectual boundaries, and shared goals for the future.

Couples therapy is not indicated when domestic violence is present in the relationship. If you are at risk or have experienced abuse it is best to develop a safety plan that involves specific actions you can take to ensure your safety. If you are in need of immediate assistance or are looking for local resources, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233) is available 24/7/365.
